Teacher Job Fair Information and Registration

The Houston Area Teacher Center (HATC) Teacher Job Fair is open to student teachers at partner universities who are seeking teaching positions. Representatives from member and non-member school districts from Houston and beyond are available to speak to student teachers about employment. Student teachers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and be prepared to seek that first teaching job!

The next HATC Student Teacher Job Fair will be held Friday, April 7, 2017, 1:30-3:30 p.m., in the Conrad Hilton Ballroom at the Hilton, University of Houston, following the Houston Area Student Teaching Conference. Student teachers from the following universities will be attending:

  • University of Houston
  • Houston Baptist University
  • Prairie View A&M University
  • Texas Southern University
  • University of Houston - Clear Lake
  • University of Houston - Downtown
  • University of Houston - Victoria
  • University of St. Thomas

Important Dates:

  • January 11, 2017: Priority Registration opens for members.
  • February 13, 2017: Registration opens for non-members.
  • March 24, 2017: Early-bird Registration closes.

Registration Fees

Early-bird Registration Fees (Closes Friday, March 24, 2017)
Member Districts/ Affiliated Institutions: $150
Non-member Districts/ Institutions: $250
Additional Representatives (per person): $35

Late Registration Fees (After Friday, March 24, 2017 until capacity is met)
Member Districts/ Affiliated Institutions: $200
Non-member Districts/ Institutions: $300
Additional Representatives (per person): $35

The initial registration fee includes a booth table, two chairs, lunch and parking for two representatives. Additional registration includes lunch and parking per representative.

Second Booth Table

Due to an increase in venue fees and space constraints, additional booth tables may now be reserved for an additional $25 per table.

Interview Table

A separate interview table with two chairs may be reserved for $25. The interview area is arranged in the lobby, just outside the Conrad Hilton Ballroom.

Electricity and Wifi

Both electricity and wifi are available and complementary to registrants. Due to space limitations, electricity requests are approved on a first come, first served basis. Approved tables will be located against the wall for electricity accessibility. Registrants will be responsible for taping down the electrical cords to meet the fire code.

All fees are non-refundable.
